Engagement Pictures

Joe and I got our engagement pictures taken and they turned out GREAT!  Joe's cousin Laura took them and she did a great job.  Joe was only going on 1 hour sleep and you couldn't tell in the pictures, I think he had fun having them done.  It only took like a hour and a half, but she took almost 200 pictures.  Now we have the hard part of picking which pictures we want to use for the Save the Dates.  If you want to see some of them you can see them on my facebook.

Camping

Joe and I went on our first camping trip.  We camped in a tent and had a great time.  We only got to stay 2 nights, but we would have loved to stay longer.  It was nice to just relax and not have to worry about anything.  We went fishing (which I didn't know if I was going to like or not) which I turned out to love, it was very relaxing and I didn't think about anything expect getting the fish.  I was the first one to get a fish and I even helped take it off the hook.  I am ready go to camping again, but I don't think we will be able to go until next year.  Hopefully in the next few years we will be able to get a camper and go camping a lot more.

Josh's Deployment

I am going to try and get caught up on my posts and try to stay up on them again.  Anyway, Josh has deployed.  We had his deployment ceremony on Thursday Sept. 22.  It was a nice ceremony.  On Friday Josh's unit left from Sparta to fly out from Mid America Airport, so we got up at 4 am to go to Sparta and be part of the parade for the unit.  Joe and Jason both drove their police cars in the parade.  There were close to 60 motocycles in the parade.  I felt bad for them because it was a cold morning to have to ride a bike, but they were all happy to do it.  We got to spend some time with Josh at the airport because one of the buses got a flat tire so they had to wait for that bus to get there before they could fly out.  Its never easy to say good-bye but we had to.  Josh is currently in Texas for 6 weeks then he will head to Afghanistain for 10-12 months.  Not sure when exactly he will come home.  Please keep Josh and his unit in your prayers and if anyone would like to send anything to his unit we are going to be sending care packages over.  Here are some pictures from the deployment.

Confession Friday

I don't remember the last time I did a confession Friday, but I figured I would try to get back in the swing of making new posts more often.

I confess I made a pot of chili today, and it turned out pretty good.

I confess, Joe and I get our engagement pictures taken next week and I can't wait.  I hope they turn out good.

I confess that I registers for my fall classes and I am looking forward to getting into my nursing classes.

I confess I am not really excited for fall, I wish summer could last just a little bit longer.

I confess the only good thing about winter coming is that it means it is getting closer to the wedding.

I confess, I love our new patio in our back yard.  It is going to be nice this fall with the fire pit.

I don't have many confessions, hope everyone has a good weekend.

NASCAR/Firefighters Ball

Things have been crazy busy around here.  Joe and I went to Bristol, TN to the NASCAR race at the end of August.  We had a great time.  We had to camp there because there are not hotels around.  The closest one we could find was an hour and a half away.  Since we camped we were in walking distance to the race.  Thursday night when we got down there we got to watch the Hauler Parade.  It was cool to see all the trucks come through with the race cars.  We tried some moon shine apple pie drink, it was good but I don't think I could drink a lot of it.  Friday we went to the Busch race and we sat right past the start finish line.  It rained a little bit on us, but we had a good time.  Saturday, we spent most of the day at the race track.  We went to the different vendors and got some souvenirs to take home.  We had a good time at the race and are planning on going to another race next year.

This was our first year going to the Firefighters Ball, I didn't really know what to expect, but we had a great time.  I got really lucky and found my dress on clearance for $60 bucks.  We got to the hotel to check in and we get to the front desk and come to find out we are at the wrong hotel so we had to go back to the car and go across the street to the other hotel.  I was afraid we were going to be late, but I think I got dressed and put my makeup on in record time.  We got to the ball, ate some food, took lots of pictures, and drank a little to much.  I think cosmos became my favorite drink.  The dance was suppose to last till midnight, but I think we were back at the hotel by 11:30.  I had a little to much to drink, but Joe was there to take care of me.  Can't wait to go again next year.

So Behind!

Holy Cow!! I have not posted since the 5th.  I am a little (alot) behind, but things have been crazy.  I have one final left and then I am done with these classes until Monday.  So glad they give us a long break, NOT!  I had my 25th birthday last week and to be honest the day sucked.  I had class and it was all I could do to not fall asleep in class, I felt like crap.  I called mom on my way home and told her that we were going to have to go out to dinner a different night because the only thing I wanted to do was go to bed.  I came home and changed into fleece pants and put a hoodie on, Joe checked my temp. and I had a fever of 101.3.  I can't tell you the last time I had a temp that high.  So I took some meds and was in bed my 4:00 pm.  I slept all night and didn't get out of bed until 3:00 pm the next day.  I feel better now, but still not 100%, but it is better than what I was.

Friday night Joe and I went out to dinner with mom and Larry and the boys for my birthday.  Don't ask me the name because I can't remember it, I just know it is next to Frankie G's in South County.  We had a great dinner.  The boys decided they wanted to ride back to moms house with Joe and I so I put my leftovers on top of the car to get the boys in the back seat and their seat belts on.  Well.....you guessed it I left the food on top the car and we drove off.  I hope the birds like my leftovers, because mom said they splattered everywhere on the road.  I had my blonde moment for the day.  We went back and had ice cream cake and opened my gift.  Mom and Larry got me a iron, (yes an iron to iron clothes).  We have lived here over a year and still don't have one.  I haven't used it yet, but I will soon.  Joe and I came home and watched a movie, we both realised that half way through the movie that we had already seen it.

Saturday mom and I did some running, we went and found a pattern for the girls flower girls dresses for the wedding.  It is going to be alot cheaper to make them than to buy them.  Saturday night Joe and I went out to dinner with his family for my birthday.  We went to TGIFridays and then came back to our house.  I got an awesome gift....are you ready for this

Yep you guessed it.  It is a Margaritaville Margarita maker.  This thing is amazing.  We used it Saturday night and I love it.  Can't wait until I get to use it again.  I still haven't got my present from Joe, it got lost in the mail or something so he is fighting with the company, I don't know what it is either.  Hopefully it comes soon.

Joe has been working like crazy, sometimes I don't know how he does it.  Once I get done with nursing school he won't have to work so much.  Can't wait for that day to get here.  Only 2 more years to go.  I can't believe I made it through the first year.  It went by really fast just hope the next 2 years go by fast.  I will try my best to start blogging more things are just crazy right now and school work has to come first.

Confession Friday!

It has been a long time since I have posted.  This have been crazy with school lately.  Trying my best to stay on the honor roll.  Not always that easy, but so far so good.

I confess I have coupons burning a hole in my pocket to use before Sunday because it is such a good deal.

I confess I can't wait to show Rachel and Amy how to coupon.  I think they are going to get hooked like I am.

I confess it is almost my birthday, to bad I have to go to class that day.

I confess I really need to get started on my research paper, but I just don't have the drive to do it yet.

I confess I really have nothing to confess about.  I know I have been very boring lately, but I just don't have anything good to write about.  If anyone has any suggestions for a good blog topic let me know.  Hopefully something will come along and I won't be a boring blogger anymore.

Confession Friday

I had a pretty exciting week, went to the NKOTBSB concert, had my first exam in my nursing class and had my first presentation for class this week.  Haven't got my grades back but I am keeping my fingers crossed.  I feel like I did good but you never know.  Its hard to believe that next week I am already half way done with these classes.  Time sure does fly when you are having fun (not that I am really having fun with these classes but it doesn't really give you time to not like them because you are done with them before you know it).

I confess I never get any comments on my blog.  Makes me wonder does anyone even read it or am I just writing to myself.

I confess I really like summer, but it is just a little to hot for me right now.  I can do the 90's but 100 is to hot for me.  I will take this weather over winter any day.

I confess Joe and I have moved Khaos's kennel into the laundry room.  It is way to hot for him to be outside all day when he is not at work.  I think he might like it in the laundry room too.  When we let me out he does his business goes to the back door, barks and then runs to the fence gate and waits for us to go get him and bring him back inside.

I confess I didn't really find any good coupon deals this week.  It seems like every time I go to the store everything is already picked over.  The only good thing I got this week was some Dove's Men+Care bar soap 2 6 packs for .78.  Not bad, just wish I could find more deals like that.

I confess Maggie and Moose got new matching collars this week.  Ya I am one of those crazy people that always buy them matching collars.  I think it is cute.

I confess I cleaned out the fridge this week and came to find out Joe and I really don't eat leftovers.  I don't know why, but I always end up throwing them away.

I confess I am ready to go camping again, we didn't get to stay long last time.  I can't wait till we can go again.

I confess if I ask the dogs if they want to go to bed they take off running to the bedroom.  I think it is every ones favorite time of the day.

Here are my confessions for the week.  Feel free to add your own or leave a comment either would be great.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.

NKOTBSB

Tuesday night my friend Jenny and I went to the NKOTBSB (New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys) concert.  I had order the tickets back in January so it seemed like it took forever for the concert to get here.  I was pretty excited, I had seen the BSB back in Jr High and I have never seen NKOTB, nothing better than a 2 for 1 show.  Our seats were awesome.  We were in section 105 front row and on the end.  The restroom was right out of our section which came it handy having it so close because it was one of the longest concerts that I have ever been to.  They started their show around 8:30 and it was 11:30 before we left the Scott Trade Center.  We definitely got our money's worth from the show.  I would definitely go see both of them if they come back to St. Louis again.

Joe saves the day!!

If you don't already know last Friday night in Millstadt some guy decided he was going to climb up the water tower and jump off.  You also know Joe and I don't get a lot of nights off together and this just happened to be one we had off.  We headed up to Fast Eddie's for some good cheap food.  We had just got done eating when Joe got the phone call that he had to go to work.  No reason to get mad it is part of the job and I am use to it.  We made record time back from Alton and Joe when to work.  Greg, Emily, and I went up to the ambulance building to watch all the excitement.  I think everyone else had the same idea.  You would have thought there was a parade or something with all the people that were sitting on the sides of the roads.  Three people had to go up the water tower and bring the guy down.  They wanted a police officer to go up in case the guy gave them any problems.  Joe was the lucky one that got to go up.  I got a little nervous about it (not that I don't trust him or the other emergency workers, but that is a long fall if something did go wrong).  The three guys went up as high as they could go in Columbia's ladder truck and then they had to climb the rest of the way on the ladder.  They got the guy harnessed up and brought him down (it seemed like forever for me).  Once Joe was back on the ground it was time for me to go home and get some sleep.  It made for a long night, but I can say I am extremely proud of Joe and what he did.  Not everyone would have done it.  He even made the Belleville News Democrat.  I hope the next time someone decides to climb the water tower they think twice about it.
Joe is the guy in front of the guy with the light

Confession Friday!

I don't really have a good into to my confession Friday, does anyone really pay attention to it anyway?  I am just going to get on with the  confessions

I confess I waited to late in the week to go shopping, all the good coupon deals were picked over.  At least there wasn't a ton of good deals this week.  I am going to try and go early in the week next week.

I confess I have an amazing insurance agent that has cut my car insurance in half.  It pays to get good grades and to be engaged.  Nothing is better than a discount.

I confess I am not happy that Netflix is raising their prices, 17.98 a month.  Are they crazy, you can bet that I am going to be canceling my service before the price change goes into effect.

I confess I made the honor roll again, I guess a pat on my back is not a bad thing.

I confess I am already a 1/3 done with this classes.  I love that the classes are only 8 weeks long, they go by so fast you don't really have time to not like them because before you know it the class is over.

I confess there is only 316 days till the wedding, we are almost in the 200s.  I can't believe how fast time is going by.  It will be here before we know it.

I confess I don't have any other good confessions for this week.  Sorry its a short confessions, but at least I remembered to do one.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.  I will spend most of my weekend doing homework and being on crew, always a good time.  Feel free to add your own confessions if you wish.

My Coupon Deals

I thought I would share a couple pictures of my deals I have got by using coupons.  It might make you want to think twice about using coupons the next time you go shopping.

Confession Friday!

Another Friday is here, another Friday closer to the wedding, and another Friday closer to graduation.  Yes I still have like 2 years of school left, but I really can't wait till the day I graduate.  So far school is going by really fast, I just hope it stays that way.

I confess I LOVE saving money with coupons, I don't know why I didn't start couponing sooner.

I confess I bought 16 boxes of milk bone dog treats today (yes maybe I am going crazy), but we go through a lot of dog treats.

I confess my first day of nursing class went good, already have a group project to work on.

I confess Joe and I went to dinner and a movie last night and it was nice going with just the two of us.  Our schedules don't always work out the same so it is nice when we get to do things like that.

I confess I think I am one of the only people that doesn't watch Big Brother.

I confess I have sat here for 5 minutes and can't think of anything else to confess.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, I am going to try and get a head start on my homework for next week.

Weekend Wrap Up/New Week!

I know this is late for the weekend wrap up, but it has been a crazy week.  Joe and I had a GREAT weekend.  Friday, Joe worked and I went with mom, my 4 nieces (Caitlyn, Madison, Keeley, and Kennedy), and Kiersten to try on the bridesmaid and Jr. bridesmaid dresses.  All the girls looked beautiful in the dress and they all like the dress.  The next step is to order them in September.  The wedding is getting closer and closer everyday.  We all went out to lunch Cracker Barrel for lunch.  Kennedy loves to put her feet on the table and when you tell her no she just moves them to the side of the high chair.  What a stinker.

Saturday Joe, Kiersten, and I went to Aunt Peggy's to swim.  It was so hot outside and the water was like bath water.  I think we only swam for like an hour and a half.  That was long enough for me.  Joe and I went to the mall and Kohl's Saturday night (the mall on a Saturday night, were we crazy), needless to say we didn't stay at the mall very long.  Joe got new shorts and shoes from Kohl's, (they were all on sale and he got $10.00 in Kohl's cash back) I think I am teaching him well even without having coupons.  Joe grilled pork steaks after we got home and they were awesome.  He is good at grilling.  We spend the rest of the night packing for our trip to Montauk State Park to camp for the night.

Sunday morning we got up at 5:30 am to leave for Montauk. We wanted to get there as early as we could so we could spend as much of the day there as we could.  We went on a bike ride once we got there, its been a long time since I rode a bike.  I was a little bit sore the next day.  We went to the swimming hole and the water was ICE COLD.  Not my idea of water to swim in.  It was nice to just put your feet in the water and sit in the chair and relax.  I could do that everyday.  Tammie made homemade hot wings for supper and I think they were the best wings I have ever had.  Now if I can only get the sauce the same as hers.  They were awesome.  We had smores by the camp fire, played some games and then called it a night.  It was a great day and I was sad it was over so fast, that just means we will have to go again.

Monday we got up and ate breakfast and watched Brian fish for a little bit before we had to head back home.  I don't think either of us wanted to leave.  But Joe had to work and I was on ambulance crew and both of our families were coming over for 4th of July.  We ate some good food and watched some good fireworks.  Now its back to everyday life.  Classes started again and I started my first nursing class.  I would have liked a longer summer break, but it just means that much faster that I will be done with school.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and a good 4th of July.  I can't believe that summer is already half over.  I think it goes by way to fast and winter is way to long.

CONFESSION FRIDAY!!

It has been a nice week off without any classes.  I start my new online classes this Sunday and go to my first Nursing class on Wednesday.  This week has gone by to fast.

I confess I am one of the most impatient I have ever met in my life (just ask Joe, he will tell you).  I don't like to wait for anything.

I confess we had a great birthday for Joe, I hope he enjoyed the day as much as I did.

I confess Kiersten only has one more week here, and I am not ready for her to go home.

I confess I can see how couponing can become an addiction.

I confess I really don't know what other confessions I have for this week, sorry I know it wasn't very many, I will try to do better for next week.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend, I know I am going to enjoy the weekend with Joe.

Weekend Wrap Up!

Friday night was the Relay for Life in Dupo.  Joe, Kiersten (my cousin that is visiting from Colorado), and I went and spent most of the night at the track.  We walked 6 miles, I know its not really that far if you think how long we were there.  We left about Midnight and I took my nephew Colin home and then Kiersten and I came home.

Saturday we tried to go swimming but the water was freezing cold and the sun was not out.  We left Aunt Peggy's house and came home to get showers before we had to go to Mike and Becky's wedding reception.  I told Kiersten I would straighten her hair.  It didn't take as long as I thought it would.  It only took 45 minutes.  We had a good time at the wedding reception and I seen my friend Carrie that I haven't seen in forever.  We are definitely going to have to get together soon.  It was long over due.  We left the reception at midnight and it stormed the whole way home.  We could only go 35 mph because I couldn't see anything.  When we got home I went outside in the pouring rain to put Khaos inside.  He didn't even want to come out of his dog house because it was raining so hard.  Good thing I put him inside because it stormed all night.

Sunday Joe and I went with Greg and Emily to the Rascal Flatts concert.  I don't know if we are just getting older or if the concerts are really not that good, but the concert was just OK.  Jason Aldean is still the best concert we have seen.  There are so many teenagers that scream through the whole concert, we left a little bit early and went to good old Stake N Shake and ate.  We had a good weekend, I am looking forward to this week because Wednesday is Joe's Birthday and we have a whole day of stuff planned.

CONFESSION FRIDAY!!

It feels like forever since the last time I did a confession Friday.  Joe and I have a weekend packed full of things to do, looking forward to spending the weekend with him

*I confess that I couldn't be happier to be on Summer break from school, I hope July 3rd takes it slow time because that is when I have to go back to school.

*I confess family is the most important thing in my life and its hard to see people you care about going thru a tough time.

*I confess I can't wait for Sundays just so I can get the coupons out of the newspapers.

*I confess I still haven't got to go swimming this summer, keeping my fingers crossed I get to go Monday.

*I confess Kiersten is here visiting and can't wait to tell her the surprise I have for her.

*I confess Moose needs a bath, I hate seeing eye crusties on him.  They just gross me out and don't like them

*I confess Joe's birthday is next week and I can't wait to celebrate with him and I can't wait to give him his present.  I know it he going to love it.

*I confess I had an ambulance call at 4 in the morning and when I got home at 6 Moose was waiting for me to come back to bed.

*I confess almost all the wedding planning is done, only a couple small things left to do.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, feel free to add your own confessions.

Lazy Day!

They have a really tough life.  Maggie loves sleeping on the couch with her head on a pillow and Moose loves to sleep right next to me under a blanket.  This is all they have done all day.

Weekend Wrap Up!

Friday Joe and I  went to the Brad Paisley with our friends Julie and Jeremy.  We had a great time, got there a little to early, but that gave us plenty of time to people watch.  You never know what you are going to see.  Saturday we were woke up bright and early at 4 am with some thunder and lightening so I got out of bed to put Khaos inside.  I hate to leave him outside when it storms.  Boy am I glad I put him inside because it stormed like CRAZY!!  Joe when to Chakoia's Fireman's picnic and parade.  He didn't get a chance to take a nap before he had to work all night.  I felt bad that he didn't get any sleep.  I did some running with my mom on Saturday.

Sunday was Father's Day so I made Joe a No Bake Cheesecake (from the dogs since we don't have any kids) I think he really liked it.  I went down and spent some time with Larry because I was on crew in Millstatad Sunday night.  Monday I started the INSANITY workout program and I already feel like death.  I have never been this sore in my life.  I hope it works because I have never sweated this much in my life.  I have one final left to take and then I am on break until July 3rd.  Really doesn't seem that far away, but I get to start my first nursing class and I am nervous and excited at the same time.  I know I missed confession Friday so I will do my best to make up for it this week.

Weekend Wrap Up!!

Friday I went to Wal-Mart to do some shopping.  I got all my supplies for my coupon binder.  I was so excited about putting it together and getting all my coupons organized.  Friday night I was on Ambulance crew in Dupo. We had one call and the person wanted to go to SLU, of course.  So on our way back to Dupo there was an accident to get onto Popular Street Bridge.  I think we say in traffic close to 20 minutes before we got back home.  I worked on some homework and then called it a night.

Saturday I was up early to watch Keeley and Kennedy while Jason was at work.  The girls were as always way to cute and had way to much energy for me to keep up with.  We went and visited my mom at scrapbooking (trying to wear the girls out) and Melissa wanted to see my coupon binder.  Melissa and my mom both loved the binder and have since started their own.  I was brave and took both girls with me to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple more things.  We ran through McDonald's on the way home and got us lunch.  We ate lunch and then it was my favorite time of the day, NAP TIME!  Both girls didn' want to take a nap at first but they both ended up crashing for almost 4 hours.  Saturday night Joe and I went to Ashley and Brad's wedding reception.  The bride looked amazing!! We had a good time with some old friends, I think we made it home my 12:30.

Sunday, Joe had to work and again I was on Ambulance crew in Millstadt during the day and Dupo at night.  I got my 4 newspapers and spent the night cutting out my coupons.  I love getting the coupons.  Monday I put those coupons to good use.  I went to Walgreen's and CVS, if I would have paid full price for everything it would have cost me $140.00 but I only paid $40.00.  Not a bad trip for my first one.  I was pretty excited and can't wait for the next one.  Here is a picture of everything I bought.
I am very happy with everything I got.  Hopefully soon I will be able to do this with groceries.  There is nothing better than saving money.

Couponing

I know everyone has heard about the whole couponing thing and I can say that I am starting to give it a try.  I got 2 ten dollar Gillette razors for .98 apiece.  I am currently working on my coupon binder (yes I am going to be one of those people).  It is way easier to have them in a binder where you can flip through and see every coupon that you have.  If anyone has tips for me, please let me know.  I will take any help I can get.

Confession Friday!!

I know I haven't posted since last confession Friday, but things are crazy in the summer and I would rather be doing other things than sitting on a computer.  Anyway have a busy weekend planned, I will share when the weekend is over.

I confess that Kim has called me out so I am going to have to work on my blog.  I have been slacking lately.

I confess our air is finally working and it feels great in the house.  Never want to go without air again.

I confess I am doing the whole coupon thing, I will make another post about that.

I confess I am babysitting my nieces Keeley and Kennedy tomorrow and I can't wait.  I love spending time with them.

I confess I cleaned my car and you can't even tell from all the cicadas that I have killed.

I confess it is the 10th of June and I still haven't gone swimming.  I plan to change that come Monday.

I confess I only have 2 more week in these classes then I get a week off for summer break before I start my first nursing class.

I confess I bought Joe some red Velvet Ice Cream and it is the most amazing thing I have ever ate in my life.  There are chunks of cake in it and you can even taste the icing.  So Walgreen's had it on sale B1G1 so I went and bought all they had.

I confess Khaos has dug a hole under the house so he can lay there and stay cool.  I don't know what he is going to do when we get our concrete pad.

I confess I love the Wall Flower Air Fresheners from Bath and Body Works and they are on sale for 5 bucks.  I stocked up.

Feel free to add your own confessions.  I am going to try to blog more this coming week.

CONFESSION FRIDAY (SATURDAY)!!!!

I know I haven't posted anything since last confession Friday but things have been busy.  I had midterms last week and lots of homework this week and I figure those should come first.  Mom and I went to the outlet mall on Friday and I didn't have time to do my confession Friday.

I confess that Joe and I went and seen the Hangover Part 2, the movie was very funny, but had a lot of nudity in it.  Could have done without it.

I confess I got a new Coach purse and I love it.

I confess I got Joe's birthday present at the outlet mall and I can't wait to give it to him.  I'm trying real hard not to give away what I got him.

I confess I love summer but this heat came on way to fast.  I still don't think I would trade it for winter weather.

I confess these cicadas are so loud and have taken over our trees in our back yard.  They can leave at anytime.

I confess I can't wait to go swimming, hopefully I get to go soon.

I confess hopefully we find out what is wrong with our air conditioner soon.

I confess I can't wait till we go to the Nascar race.

I confess I don't have anything else to confess about. This was a boring confession week.  Hopefully next week will be better.

CONFESSION FRIDAY!!

Its confession Friday again and that means the weekend is here.  I am really ready for it to warm up and stay warm, we got out pool passes for the community pool and I would really like to go soon.  Don't have a whole lot planned for the holiday week, but I'm sure it is going to be a good time.

I confess that Joe is recovering a lot better after having is wisdom teeth removed that I thought he was going to.  I enjoyed taking care of him while I could.

I confess I took both dogs with me on Wednesday to my moms because of the possible storms.  I would hate for something to happen and not be able to fine one of them.

I confess this time next year I will be a married woman, holy cow it sounds crazy to say that.

I confess I didn't wait till the last minute to do my midterms this week, I already have them both done.

I confess I am tired of rain and storms, I haven't been able to walk everyday because of the weather.

I confess Joe bought me a new Stethoscope that should be here today.  I can't wait to get it I am so excited about it.  Sounds kinda sad I am excited over something like that.

I confess at least once a week I am cleaning up poop or puke from Maggie or Moose, never a dull moment.

I confess Maggie lays on the couch with her head on the pillow everyday and sleeps.  Moose lays in the sun and sleeps.  They lay there almost all day.

I confess I can't wait till our new concrete pad is finished in the backyard.  I am ready to have some BBQ's with some friends.

I confess I hope this summer doesn't fly by, I really want to enjoy it.  Even though I will be in class part of the summer.

I think I am done with my confession Friday, hope everyone has a good Memorial Weekend.  Stop and remember the true reason for the holiday weekend.  Keeping everyone in Joplin in my thoughts and prayers, I hope you do the same.

Add your own confessions if you want.

Weekend Wrap Up!!!

Friday night I was on crew in Dupo, didn't have any calls.  I was not upset by this.  Saturday we went to the Tim McGraw concert.  It was nothing compared to the Jason Aldean concert.  We think Tim was drunk through the whole concert.  You couldn't understand a word he was saying.  We were more excited to see The Band Perry and Luke Bryan.  They were both really good.  We left the concert early we didn't want to spend 2 hours trying to get out of the parking lot again.
Even though the concert wasn't that great we still have a good time and got good pictures out
of it.  After we left the concert we went and got something to eat and then went back to Brandy Inn for Stephen's birthday.  Joe and Greg wanted to have a drink with him for his birthday.  I was the DD, so no drinking for me.  They got a fire call around 1:30 or 2:00 so Emily and I went and sat at the fire house till they got done.  It took way longer than we thought so I took Emily to her car and came back to wait for the boys.  They got done at 4:30 I had to be at home at 5:00 to be on ambulance crew.  I walked in the door at 4:55.  Nothing like cutting it close.  Slept till 11:00 and got up and did homework.  And here I sit watching Netflix not wanting to do anything.  Had a good weekend, can't wait for the next concert.

Day 30

A picture of someone I miss
My Grandpa Luther Cooper
There is not a day that goes by I do not think of him.
It has been 6 years, but some days it still seems like it was yesterday.
I would love to walk down the street to grandma and grandpa's house one more time and for grandpa to ask me if I want some peanuts, when he and I both know I don't eat peanuts.
I would love to be sitting in the living room and hear him at the kitchen table tapping his spoon in his coffee cup reading the paper.  I would love to go eat Chinese food with him one more time or to hear him blow is nose in a restaurant and have everyone look at your table.  I would like to sit with him and grandma one more time and watch Jeopardy and Oprah like they did everyday.  He may be gone, but he is definitely not forgotten.  I love and miss you grandpa!

Confession Friday!!!

I know I missed last week, hope I can make up for it this week,

I confess that my blog has been slacking, I am going to try and work on making it better.

I confess that going on a field trip with 4 1st grade classes was fun, but a lot of work.  There were kids everywhere.  I know if I got asked to go again I wouldn't think twice about going.

I confess that I don't like when my mom goes out of town, I feel like my life is missing something when she is gone.  I normally talk to her everyday and when she is on vacation I don't get to talk to her as much.

I confess I am really bad about putting things off till the very end, and then I am rushing around to get things done.

I confess I am excited to get engagement pictures done, but I don't think we are going to get them done till the fall.  I don't want sweat rolling down our faces in the pictures.

I confess I have all but one of my books bought for my summer classes (class doesn't start till July).  Nothing wrong with getting them early right??

I confess I tried to sell or pre-lit Christmas tree in my moms yard sale and no one wanted it.  Now what am I going to do with it.

I confess I really like to cook for Joe, I just don't like to clean up when I am done.

I confess I think it has been to long since I have seen my family in the south, maybe when mom gets back we can go down for a day.

I confess some days I wish I was a dog, they really have the life.  They get to go outside when they want, get a treat when they come inside and they pretty much sleep the rest of the day.

I confess I can't wait till Kiersten comes to visit.

I confess I am ready for summer to be here, I want to go swimming and four wheeling.

I confess I think I did pretty good considering I didn't have time to confess last week.

Playing Catch Up!!

OK... I know I am really behind on my posts, but I have had a lot going on and I figured homework is more important that posting (I think everyone would agree with me).  Anyway... there has been a lot happened since the last time I updated.

So last Thursday night I am home along because Joe was at work at his part time job.  I left Khaos (the police dog) in the back yard while I ran to the store to get a can of biscuits, I wanted to make biscuits and gravy and we didn't have any biscuits.  Anyway I get back from the store and check to make sure Khaos is still in the back yard.  Check he is still there, but there is blood all over the steps and the concrete.  I'm thinking to myself what did he do and what am I going to do, Joe is at work.  So i go outside to see what he did and notice that his dewclaw nail is sticking out to the side and blood dripping from it.  The other one looks fine.  So I call Rick (Joe's dad) to see if he can come look at it.  He was in class, so that was out.  He told me to call the K9 officers from County.  First, neither answered and then Justin called me back.  He said he would come over and take a look.  Justin looked at it and said he needed to go to the vet and have it checked.  I had to call Joe at work and tell me what was going on, he was busy, but said he would call the vet and call me back.  Justin and I got his paw wrapped with some gauze and tapped it so at least it would be protected.  The vet said we should just leave it wrapped and bring him in tomorrow.  Take him to the vet and she said he just bent the nail all the way back and exposed what is under the nail.  She said just keep it wrapped for 5-6 days.  Khaos did fine with having his paw wrapped, he didn't do fine with not being able to go to work for 2 days.  We took the wrap off last night and he got to go back to work today.  He was one happy dog.

Friday night we went to the Jason Aldean concert.  We knew getting out of the parking lot was going to be a nightmare so we decided to leave the concert early.  WRONG!!! 2 hours later we finally made it out of the parking lot, yes just the parking lot.  That was the worst part of the night.  The concert was great, I would go see him again.

I was on ambulance crew all weekend, wasn't to bad got my homework done.  Tuesday night I went to the Cardinal's game with Nikki, Heather, and Julie.  Mom gave me tickets from work and they were great seats.  Four rows from the field, Julie said they were the best seats she had ever sat in.  I went to the Cardinal's game again Wednesday night (I know tough life right).

I registered for my summer classes and I am happy and nervous to say I start my first nursing class this summer.  I am excited to start the nursing classes, I hope I can make some good friends at school.  I know last week I missed Confession Friday, so I will try and make it a good confession tomorrow.

Field Trip With Noah

Today I got to go with Noah to The Magic House for his field trip.  We had a lot of fun, just didn't have enough time to see everything.  Here are some of the pictures that I took.
Noah's hair wasn't long enough to stand up.
After we ate lunch.
Noah and his friend Nate.

Day 29

A picture that can always make me smile.
This picture is from before Joe and I even started dating.
It was like 2 in the morning and the table behind us didn't like us talking pictures.
I smile every time I see this picture.

Day 28

A picture of something I am afraid of.
Jellyfish
I don't like them.  I almost stepped on one when we were in vacation.
I wasn't really paying attention, but good thing Joe was,
because he saw it and caught me in time.

Day 27

A picture of myself and a family member.
This is a picture of Kennedy and me on her first Christmas.
They really do grow up fast, not that she is not still cute and sweet.
There is just something about holding a sleeping baby.

Day 26

A picture of something that means a lot to me

I could post a picture of some of my family
but then I would be leaving people out.
The most important thing to me is my family.
I don't know what I would do without them.
So I'm not going to post a picture because I don't want
to leave any family members out.

Day 25

A picture of my day

(I know this really should be from last week, but this is my day today)

I got to go with Noah on his field trip to The Magic House with school.
I will post some pictures in another post.

Day 24

A picture of something I wish I could change.

I don't have a picture for this because everything happens for a reason.
If I would change something I wouldn't be where I am today.
I don't live my life thinking I can change things.
I just take one day at a time and go with it.

Day 23

A picture of my favorite book
So I have four favorite books, at least they all go together.
I can't wait for Breaking Dawn to come out, I am can't wait to see it.

Weekend Wrap Up!

Friday night I was on Ambulance crew in Dupo, I didn't have any calls.  Which means I got to sleep the whole night, always a good thing.  Saturday I had Joe's cousin Becky's shower.  Had a good time with Joe's family.  Went and got pedicures after the shower.  I love to get pedicures.  Saturday night I was on Ambulance crew in Millstadt again no calls.

Sunday was Mother's Day and since I was on Ambulance crew and couldn't leave town Mom and Larry and Nikki and the kids came up and we went to lunch as Margarita's.  The food was great and mom loved her Mother's Day gift.  Josh and Nikki went in with Joe and I and we got mom an Ipod Touch and the Nike walking kit.  I know who would have thought she would know how to work an Ipod (she doesn't yet, I still have to show her how to use it).  Hope it goes easy.  After lunch I came home and worked on our thank you cards for the wedding.  I know I probably sound crazy but I am hand making all of them.  Good thing I started early so I don't have to rush.  I just hope everyone likes it when they get them.  After Joe got home from work we went over to his moms to give her, her mother's day gift.  She was really excited to be able to go get some new shoes.  We watched some TV with her (Sister Wives) YES Joe totally hated it, he just doesn't see the point in the show.  I can' see where he is coming from.  I think just about anyone could have their own TV show anymore.  After we left Fran's we went to Joe's dad's to give Nancy her gift.  She loved it as well.  Guess I am doing good picking out the gifts so far.  After we came home Joe did some homework.  When he was done he asked me what do you want to do now.  I told him honestly I could go to bed now, he said that is exactly what i wanted to hear.  At 10 pm we were in bed.

Not a cray weekend, but it was fun.

Day 22

A picture of something I wish I was better at.

I wish I was better at working out.
I don't think there is anything fun about working out.
I try to workout as much as I can but to me there is nothing fun about working out.
I am trying to stay healthy, but some days working out just don't sound like fun.

Day 21

A picture of something I wish I could forget.

I can't think of anything that I would want to forget.
Everything that has happened in my life has happened for a reason.
I wouldn't be who I am today without the things that have happened in the past.
I may not like everything that has happened, but I can't forget it.
Sorry I don't have a picture to go with this.

Day 20

A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.
Disney World!!
I know not what you were expecting.  I have been there twice already.
I can't wait to go back again.  Joe has never been and I know he is going to love it.
I can't wait to see his face when we get to go.

Confession Friday!

I confess that I made the best dinner Joe and I have had since we moved into the house.  I really wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but it was great.  There was no leftovers.

I confess that I am really into wrapping presents right now.

I confess we got a deep freeze a week ago and we still have no food to put in it.  I guess I need to go to the store.

I confess that I don't know what I am going to watch at 4:00 when Oprah is over.

I confess that I want to have another girls night out.  This time I need to have a ride home before I get there.

I confess for there only being Joe and I we make a lot of trash.  I think I have to empty the trash almost everyday.

I confess I am excited for the Millstadt yard sales.

I confess I am excited to give my mom her mother's day gift.  She is going to love it.

Day 19

A picture and a letter
I have no clue what I am suppose to put here.
I am just going to post my own thing.
Moose
Maggie
Khaos

They makes up our family.
We treat our dogs like children.
They are a big part of us.  I don't even like it when they go
to the groomers because the house is so quiet without them.
I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Day 18

A picture of my biggest insecurity.
My stomach/weight
I have been doing Weight Watchers to try and loose some weight.
I know I don't need to loose a lot, but I just don't like my stomach.
My motivation is of course the wedding.  Even if I don't lose any
the dress will hide it, so that a good thing.I don't think anyone is every happy with
their body, but I guess it could always be worse.

Day 17

A picture of something that has made a huge impact on my life lately.
Nursing School!
It is a love hate relationship.  Some days I love school and others I can't wait to be done.
I can finally say I know what I want to be when I grow up.  Come on August 2013.
I know right now graduation seems so far away, but I can say classes go by really fast.
I can't wait to be done with school and start working.
I either want to work in Labor and Delivery, ER, or with Children (I think).
Who knows after clinicals that may all change.  Joe has given me all the support I need for school.
He is even nice enough to not make me work full time until I am done with school.
I think I am pretty lucky to have him.

Day 16

A picture of someone who inspires me
My Grandma Colleen Cooper
I know its not a picture of just her, but I love this picture of her with 2 of her great grandchildren.
She is one of the strongest women I know, she has always been there for me.
I would spend everyday after school and in the summer at her house while my mom worked.
No matter what my cousins or I did, I have never in my life heard her yell.
I don't think she has a mean bone in her body.  She would do anything for anyone.
I am very grateful that I got and still get to spend time with her.
I love you Grandma!

Day 15

A picture of something I want to do before I die
I want to go to Hawaii, at least once.
It would probably be a place I would want to go again.

Day 14

A picture of someone I couldn't imagine my life without.
This was an easy one.  I couldn't imagine my life without Joe.
He is always there for me when I need anything even if it is just to complain
(even though he really doesn't want to hear it)
I love him more than anything and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

Day 13

A picture of my favorite band or artist
I have seen him once in concert and will be seeing him again real soon.
Second I would have to say Rascal Flatts.
I have seen them twice in concert and will see them again this summer.
I don't think they have a song that I don't like.  And they always put on a good show.

Confession Friday!

I confess that making bows and thank you cards are my new hobby.

I confess that I am disappointed in the Royal Wedding.  I guess it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

I confess  I am bad at letting Khaos jump on me when he shouldn't.

I confess I haven't walked all week (the weather hasn't helped).

I confess that I cleaned out the computer room and I don't have to be embarrassed to show it to people now.

I confess I am not ready to start class again on Monday.

I confess I still can't believe I got 100% on my research paper.

Bows!

I wanted to show a picture of a bow I made (all by myself) for a birthday present.  I have made them for Christmas presents in the past and for some reason I never thought to make them for other presents.  Now I just need to get some different color ribbon so I can start making more.  I think I may have found a hobby that I like.  Let me know what you think!

Day 12

A picture of something I love
I love coach purses.  I use them until they start to fall apart.
Some people think I am crazy, but I never pay full price for one.
I can get them so much cheaper at the outlet mall.
I don't know what it is, but there is just something
about them that I love.

Day 11

A picture of something I hate
I HATE spiders!! It doesn't matter low big or small
I hate them all.  It doesn't help that Joe hates them to.
Neither one of us even wants to get close enough to them to kill them.
I would be very happy in a world without spiders.

Easter

I had Easter at my house this year because I was on Ambulance crew and figured it would be easier just to have it here.  Poor Joe had to work, (at least he was making holiday pay).  I had my family and Joe's family here.  We had a good time with LOTS of food.  We did an Easter egg hunt inside since the weather has been so great here lately.  I don't think the kids really cared where they found the eggs at.  Everyone seemed to have a good time, I will post some pictures when I get them from my mom.

Day 10

This is suppose to be a picture of the person I do the most fucked up stuff with, but I can't think of a person for this.  It could be Joe, or Nikki, or someone from my past.  I can't say that I really do anything fucked up anymore.  I think I may have settled down some, but I am OK with that.  I am happy where I am in my life.
